As a Court whose mission is to Inform, Engage and Empower Our Community, our newest offering brings additional outreach opportunities to community youth. The Magistrate Court of Fulton County is excited to announce our newest youth development initiative:  Bang The Gavel: A Court Day Lunch & Learn Series! This program exposes and inspires 6th to 12th grade students from the surrounding community to pursue the Judiciary as a career. Student attendees can expect to experience a power packed day from start to finish!

We will begin the day with a warm welcome from Chief Magistrate Judge Cassandra Kirk and our team.  After that, students will have the opportunity to view both civil and criminal proceedings in real time! Students will also participate in a Magistrate Court-themed scavenger hunt, complete with a prize for the lucky winner! We conclude the day with lunch and a round table discussion with several of our sitting Magistrate Court Judges. During this discussion, students have an opportunity to hear about the various "pathways" that each Judge took to the bench and ask questions. The Magistrate Court of Fulton County will host students at our Bang The Gavel: A Court Day Lunch & Learn Series for our spring and summer cohorts very soon. Apply today and spread the word!
