Ashley B. Osby was appointed to the Magistrate Court of Fulton County in June of 2017. Prior to joining the Fulton County bench, she served for a year and a half as an Associate Judge of the Probate Court of Clayton County. Early on in her legal career, Judge Osby served as a law clerk to the late Honorable Rowland Barnes in Fulton County Superior Court and as a law clerk for the Honorable Matthew O. Simmons in Clayton County Superior Court. Judge Osby also worked in private practice in business planning and litigation, bankruptcy, real estate law, family law, and estate planning and trusts as well as probate litigation.
Judge Osby is admitted to all local and state Georgia Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, Georgia Supreme Court and United States District Court. She received her undergraduate degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Juris Doctorate from Georgia State College of Law. Judge Osby also hold a Masters of Law, L.L.M. in Business Transactions, from the University of Alabama.
Judge Osby enjoys serving the people of Fulton County and also volunteering in her community with the Junior League, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, among others. She is a native of Atlanta and lives in the Buckhead area with her four children and husband. She enjoys time with family and friends and playing golf.
