Judge Chuck M. Douglas has served as a Fulton County Magistrate Court Judge since his appointment in June 2017. Judge Douglas maintains and manages a private law practice as a partner with the law firm of Wakhisi-Douglas, LLC, which concentrates in the areas of (i) general corporate and business law; (ii) intellectual property law; (iii) mergers and acquisitions; and (iv) commercial and consumer litigation. Prior to private practice, Judge Douglas was a senior associate with the global structuring and business advisory practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Judge Douglas has a passion for community service, and an enduring commitment to the citizens of Atlanta and Fulton County. He is a long-standing volunteer with several non-profit organizations, including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Hands On Atlanta and Habitat for Humanity; and he is the Chairman of the board of directors for the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia. Judge Douglas is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Gate City Bar Association.
Judge Douglas received his bachelor's degree in engineering from Georgia Tech in 1998. He later earned a Master's in Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business; and a Juris Doctorate from the Georgia State University College of Law, where he achieved high honors in his business and tax law courses.
